Nexus Letter Service
A Comprehensive Psychological Evaluation & Medical Opinion
What is a Nexus Letter?
A nexus letter is a medical opinion that explains the connection (“nexus”) between a veteran’s current mental health condition and their military service.
For the VA to grant service connection, there must be:
A current diagnosis
Evidence of an in-service event, injury, or stressor
A medical opinion linking the two
Our service provides a comprehensive psychological evaluation and formal nexus opinion letter that addresses these requirements in clinically sound, VA-aligned language.
More Than a Letter
While the term “nexus letter” is commonly used, what we provide is a full psychological evaluation followed by a formal medical opinion.
Your evaluation includes:
Up to 5 clinical sessions
Comprehensive record review
Formal diagnostic assessment
A full psychological report
A written nexus opinion letter
The final document explains whether your condition is “at least as likely as not” connected to your military service and provides the clinical rationale supporting that opinion.
What to Expect:
Step 1 – Initial Consultation
We review your service history, current symptoms, prior records, and goals for your claim. We determine whether a comprehensive evaluation is appropriate.
Step 2 – Comprehensive Psychological Evaluation
Over multiple sessions (up to five), we conduct:
Structured clinical interviews
Symptom and trauma assessment
Diagnostic clarification
Functional impact evaluation
Review of medical and service records
Step 3 – Diagnostic Formulation
We determine whether a current diagnosis is supported and document findings in a formal psychological report.
Step 4 – Nexus Medical Opinion Letter
We prepare a detailed opinion that:
States the current diagnosis
Explains the connection between service and symptoms
Uses VA-recognized language (“at least as likely as not”)
Provides clear clinical reasoning
Step 5 – Finalization
You receive your completed psychological report and nexus opinion letter for submission with your claim.
