Professional Statement

As an engaged and passionate clinician, I strive to meet clients with a human-centered, strength-based, and non-judgemental approach. I am a fourth year student at William James College in the Clinical Psychology PsyD Program, with a focus towards geropsychology. I enjoy working with individuals who are experiencing life transitions, relationship conflicts, anxieties, depression, grief, and navigating the complexities and beauty that comes with aging. Throughout my work, I gravitate towards humor and authenticity when working with people, as I believe building rapport and a strong therapeutic bond is at the center of providing mental health support.

My previous work experiences includes roles as a college therapist, substance use disorder and detox clinician, and most recently, a mental health provider for Veterans at Bedford VA. At the VA, I supported Veterans with occupational and retirement stressors, family conflict, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders. I have extensive training and experience working with individuals who hold diagnoses of Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, PTSD, and psychosis.

I work through an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) lens, meaning the client is the “driver” of the bus and I am in the “passenger” seat. In the back of the bus are all of the lived experiences, memories, stories, relationships, hopes, and meaningful pieces to a person’s story. Each of these elements play a part in the client’s life, and I believe my job is to best support the client in understanding their past experiences when navigating the road ahead. Most importantly, I meet clients where they are at. Therapy is a collaborative process, and as a result, I approach treatment with openness, curiosity, and cultural humility.

I received my bachelor’s degree from Connecticut College in 2021, where I double majored in Psychology and Human Development. I received my MA in Professional Psychology from William James College in 2024, and am expected to graduate in the spring of 2027. In addition to student life, I wear many other hats, including: being a nanny, working as a restaurant server, engaging in environmental activism, and advocating for social justice.

Fun facts about me: I have an orange cat, I love Vermont, and I am a twin!
