Professional Statement
I am a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) at William James College currently completing my advanced practicum training at Hope Ave Therapy. I previously earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Health and Behavioral Medicine from William James College.
My clinical training has included outpatient psychotherapy in private practice, community mental health, inpatient, and pediatric behavioral health at Brown University Health’s Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Across these settings, I have worked with adolescents, young adults, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, suicidality, and complex medical and psychological concerns.
My approach to therapy is grounded in psychodynamic and relational principles. I believe that our relationships, life experiences, and ways of coping shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us. Therapy provides an opportunity to better understand these patterns while creating space for growth, healing, and lasting change. While this perspective serves as the foundation of my work, I also draw from attachment theory, family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to meet each client’s unique needs.
I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels warm, collaborative, and genuine. I value curiosity, authenticity, and humor, and I believe that meaningful change begins within a trusting therapeutic relationship. Whether you are navigating a difficult season of life, longstanding emotional challenges, or simply hoping to better understand yourself, my goal is to help you feel heard while working together toward the life you want to build.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, being on the water, following Boston sports, listening to music, and exploring psychology and philosophy.
